Open Call For Submissions: Heavy Horror
Heavy metal and horror have always gone hand in hand. Now, Fetid Press is combining them both into what promises to be one hard rockin' anthology of pure terror. The darkly talented Spirit Cage Art has signed onboard to do the cover and we're looking for a handful of stories to round out the book. Visit our Submissions page for specifics.

Apocalyptic Organ Grinder ranks high
In April 2011, Apocalyptic Organ Grinder by William Todd Rose was the second most popular book listed in the science fiction category on Online-Novels.blogspot.com. Set approximately 150 years after humanity is pushed to the brink of extinction by a virus unleashed by a doomsday cult, Apocalyptic Organ Grinder is a tense, post-apocalyptic thriller which one reviewer described as possibly the darkest novel he's ever read (watch the video review here). Best of all, this novella is being offered in e-book format free of charge; visit our Books page for the link and download your copy today.

Open Call: Dark Matter - The Science of Horror (anthology)
Dark Matter: The Science of Horror
Working Title: Dark Matter: The Science of Horror
Publisher: Fetid Press
Release Date: Spring/Summer 2011
What we’re looking for:
This is a horror anthology in which all of the stories somehow center around science. Zombies, vampires, mad scientists, werewolves, zombies, or any type of horror your twisted mind can dream up: all are welcome in this book. Likewise, the science can be anything from astronomy to quantum mathematics. Stories can also be set in any time period with a minimum word count of 3,000 words, however we’ve not setting a maximum count so you have plenty of space in which to explore your ideas. Sex is okay as long as it’s necessary to the plot and reprints are also fine as long as you currently retain the rights to the story. We’re looking for one time anthology and electronic rights to your story for six months after the publication date, after which you are free to re-sell it, but we do reserve the right to use your story for as long as there is a demand for the book. In exchange, you’ll get one contributor’s copy and 40% of any additional copies you’d like to order.
Standard submission rules apply with the following exceptions: any words you want in italics should be italicized, not underlined. Please send as either .rtf or .doc format. If sending as .doc, please ensure that it is saved so that it will be compatible with Word 95.
Manuscripts should be sent to darkmattersubs@gmail.com
